Visiting the Love Lock Bridge at Minor Park

This weekend I spent an evening exploring the Love Lock Bridge in Minor Park. According to the Kansas City Park website, it all started in 2013. They had replaced the former metal, red bridge with an updated one (on the conveniently named Red Bridge Road). But they still had this cool, old bridge and wanted to do something fun with it.

So they turned it into a place where lovers can come and attach their lock to the bridge. It's a sweet symbol to represent everlasting love. And to make it even more permanent, there's a disposal container where couples can throw away the key!

The Love Locks Bridge is now a popular spot for weddings, engagement pictures and proposals!
